MANILA, Philippines — The jackpot for the Ultra Lotto 6/58 draw on Sunday is expected to hit P121 million, the highest since lotto operations resumed after they were briefly suspended due to alleged corruption.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the P116,787,093.60 jackpot last Friday is expected to increase by more than four million after no one correctly guessed the six-digit winning combination of 42-22-16-56-43-19.
Eight bettors won a consolation prize of P151,560 after correctly guessing five of the six winning numbers.
President Duterte ordered the suspension of all PCSO gaming operations last July 26 following allegations of massive corruption.
The suspension on lotto operations was lifted three days later.
Malacañang earlier this week also lifted the suspension of the small-town lottery games, although operators will only be allowed to resume their business if they meet the conditions set by the PCSO.
