Contrary to what Korina Sanchez announced recently on her DZMM program Rated Korina, the multi-awarded and veteran broadcaster is actually suspended by her mother network ABS-CBN for an entire year following a conflict with CNN reporter Anderson Cooper, Inquirer’s Bandera wrote.
Bandera cited a source saying that there “then came a much bigger sanction” following early reports that ABS-CBN suspended Sanchez for a week (only). Something that the host denied.
If this report is correct, it means that the public will not be seeing or hearing Sanchez in TV Patrol and DZMM until the latter part of 2014.
Sanchez has been a subject of internet hate following a tiff with Cooper. Her donation for Yolanda victims were mocked and rendered useless by netizens calling the anchor epal.
