After weakening into a low-pressure area, the weather system previously known as Tropical Depression Wilma may reintensify into a cyclone as it moves away from the country, state weather forecasters said Tuesday.
PAGASA forecaster Fernando Cada said the LPA was estimated at 190 km northeast of Puerto Princesa City, and may become a cyclone anew once it reaches the Philippine Sea.
"Sa analysis natin itong Wilma may chance mag reintensify into a tropical depression pero nakikita natin dito na sa Philippine Sea na ito, 'pag lampas sa area ng Palawan," Cada said in an interview on dzBB radio.
On the other hand, Cada said PAGASA continues to monitor the approach of a tropical storm from the east.
