iPhone 5S review of the rumours

Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is due to kick off on 10 June. And consequently, gossip about the Cupertino company’s next-gen iPhone, variously dubbed the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 6, is reaching fever pitch.

While the new blower isn’t expected to launch at WWDC, that’s not stopped the rumour mill whirring into top gear. We’ve trawled the web and rounded up the juiciest morsels about the new handset. So take a peep, get clued in and impress your mates with the inside line on the iPhone 5S.

Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, has given the clearest indication that the iPhone 5S won’t be on shelves until autumn. Speaking after revealing the company’s last financial figures, Cook said: “Our teams are hard at work on some amazing new hardware, software, and services that we can’t wait to introduce this fall.”

His words came after the web worked itself into a frenzy about Apple introducing its new handset this summer, as it did with its old school iPhone 3G and 3GS models.
